About me
Hi, I’m Dr. Zheng! I earned my MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in Rootstown, Ohio.
I was born in Texas in 1993. My parents emigrated from China and both earned degrees in chemical engineering. I have a basic grasp of Mandarin Chinese, but I’m not completely fluent in it.
We moved to Avon, Ohio, (a suburb of Cleveland) when I about 6 years old. We moved again to Westlake, Ohio, right before I started high school. I graduated from Westlake High School in 2011.
For my undergraduate training, I attended the B.S./M.D. program run by NEOMED at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, from 2011 to 2013. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Sciences.
For medical school, I attended Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, from 2013 to 2018 and earned my M.D.
For residency, I attended the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Family Medicine Residency in Akron, Ohio, from 2018 to 2021 and became a board-certified Family Physician.
I started working with OhioHealth in August 2021.
I have particular interests in evidence-based medicine, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, weight, mental health, and medical education.
